Opportunities:

· Assisting with the care and support of older people in daycentres, sheltered housing and lunch clubs

· Delivering and supporting activities for older people such as chair exercise, walking and craft

· Providing tutoring for older people on IT projects

· Taking part in intergenerational projects

· Visiting older isolated people within their own homes and residential centres

· Minibus driver

The opportunity would suit someone who enjoys being in the company of older people and feels able to communicate well with them.

Age Concern may wish to undertake a Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure to ensure the safety of their volunteers and clients.

The majority of these opportunities are available during the daytime rather than evenings.
