Aim/objective – what were you trying to achieve?
Produce blankets for the cat and dog shelter, teach young people a new skill. Get the generations together

Description – what did you do, what happened?
Volunteers who were over 50 taught young people how to knit. Over two days all the volunteers made blankets which were donated to the cat and dog shelter.

The project dispelled many myths that old and young have about one another
Young people learnt a new skill
The cat and dog shelter benefited from a donation of over 40 knitted blankets
The project was well featured in local press, helping to improve the image of young people.
